DTI comparison between the 5x6 directional and the single 54 directional DTI sequence
- 54 directional sequence observations
- single base line image
- if corrupt, whole sequence is lost, one example thus far
- bad signal to noise on baseline as compared to 5x6 protocol, suggestion add 5-6 additional baseline scans
- nearly every case has motion or interslice brightness differences that needs for individual directions to be discarded (same problem for 6 directional cases)
- for large 2 year olds, not full brain coverage, cropped superior regions as well as cerebellum
- coverage thus not appropriate, cannot be used right now for 2 year olds, only for neonates and 1 year old (barely fit into the coverage).
- single base line image
- difference to 6 directional protocol
- local difference in FA and MD estimation
- tractography difference
