Acquisition topics

  1. Comparison 4 parallel coil and standard RF head coil:
    • FA and MD comparable within less than 5-10%
    • RF shading different in anterior/frontal area
    • Geometry distortions/differences in both anterior and posterior area, most in posterior superior area
    • Tissue intensities: about 5%-6% gain in four channel coil
      • 4C: WM/GM temporal 441/291 = 1.51; central (caudateGM) 515/435 = 1.18
      • Standard: WM/GM temporal 399/278 = 1.43; central (caudateGM) 371/415 = 1.11
